Crucial Skill for Tomorrow’s Leaders

by FutureSmartAdmin on August 4, 2010

The recent blog post series on the Harvard Business Review site, “Imagining the Future of Leadership,” has concluded. This video has a nice, short wrap-up with clips from some of the authors of the posts about what they believe the single most important skill will be for future leaders. Its revealing that quite a few of those asked mentioned more than one attribute, or several that flow from a single point – it highlights the complex and interrelated nature of the skills that will be needed by future leaders.

Also, there is very little overlap between the different skills mentioned by the contributors. Among others empathy, mindfulness, curiosity, authenticity and having a clear sense of purpose are all mentioned.

See the video here. What do you think the one most important skill or attribute of leaders will be for the future?
